Our family has been making an effort to go to Nauvoo at least once a year (this year we have gone twice!) And it just gets better every time. The family time is incredible and having this tradition brings our family even closer. Even though we have been to Nauvoo at least 20 times we never get tired of it. I am pretty sure all of us can recite all of what all the Tour guides say
We are so blessed to have the gospel and to know why this place is so special and why we just keep coming back.
The last time our family visited Nauvoo was in 2002. We just visited again this year, 2011. We had an awesome experience. The fair and pageant were fun and inspiring.
We played games, danced and just enjoyed going back to the pioneers days where family togetherness was so important. We walked the Trail of Hope and watched the sun set. On our return we saw the beautiful Nauvoo Temple. We felt to thank our Heavenly Father for the example and sacrifice of the pioneers.
